SEN Humanities Teacher
Location: Enfield
Pay: 220 - 250 per day
Contract: Full-time, Long-term
Start: ASAP / January

Remedy Education are looking for a dedicated and motivated SEN Humanities Teacher to join a supportive SEN school catering for pupils aged 11 to 17. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher who is passionate about delivering engaging Humanities lessons within a nurturing, structured and inclusive environment.

The school supports students with a range of additional needs including ASD, SEMH, communication difficulties and mild to moderate learning needs. They are looking for a teacher who can deliver creative, differentiated lessons across KS3 and KS4 Humanities, and who can build strong relationships with pupils to support both academic and personal growth.



The role:

  • Teach Humanities across KS3 and KS4 to students aged 11-17

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs

  • Work closely with support staff to ensure pupils remain engaged and supported

  • Create a positive, safe and structured learning environment

  • Track pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly

  • Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation and confidence building

  • Contribute to the wider school community and pastoral support



The ideal candidate:

  • QTS or QTLS with strong subject knowledge in Humanities

  • Experience working in an SEN or alternative provision setting is highly desirable

  • Confident differentiating work for a range of learning abilities

  • Patient, resilient and consistent in approach

  • Ability to form positive relationships with pupils who may present with additional needs

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Holds (or is willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS
