An enthusiastic and well-qualified Science Teacher with a specialism and passion for Chemistry is required for a temporary full-time position at an Outstanding mixed school in Enfield, commencing as soon as possible. The successful candidate will deliver engaging Science lessons with a focus on Chemistry to students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (aged 11-16).
Responsibilities
- They will plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Science lessons with a focus on Chemistry to Key Stages 3 and 4.
- The role involves effectively teaching chemical concepts, adhering to the school's curriculum.
- They will foster a stimulating and inquiry-based learning environment for chemistry.
- Assessment and monitoring of student progress in Science (Chemistry), along with providing feedback, will be required.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Chemistry or Science with a strong Chemistry background is essential.
- Experience teaching Science lessons with a focus on Chemistry at Key Stages 3 and 4 is desirable.
- A solid understanding of chemical principles is expected.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills are necessary.
