Are you an enthusiastic and well-qualified Chemistry Teacher who loves bringing the world of elements and reactions to life for bright young women? We're seeking a temporary, full-time Chemistry Teacher to join our Outstanding girls' school in Enfield, starting ASAP. This is a brilliant opportunity to inspire students with the fundamental principles of chemistry and ignite their scientific curiosity across Key Stages 3 and 4, and potentially Key Stage 5.

What you'll be doing:

  • You'll be designing and delivering captivating Chemistry lessons, sparking curiosity about the composition, structure, properties, and reactions of matter.
  • It's all about expertly guiding students through key chemical concepts, conducting stimulating experiments, and helping them hone their analytical skills.
  • You'll cultivate a safe and stimulating laboratory environment where students feel empowered to explore chemical phenomena and develop their scientific inquiry skills.

What we're looking for:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a strong specialism in Chemistry and the ability to teach general Science at Key Stage 3 and Biology/Physics to Key Stage 4.
  • Ideally, you'll have some experience teaching engaging and effective Chemistry lessons at Key Stages 3 and 4 for girls.
  • A deep and current understanding of chemical principles, plus that unique ability to make the subject accessible and truly inspiring.
  • Excellent communication skills, strong classroom management, and a safe pair of hands for practical experiments.
