Secondary Teaching Assistant - KS3/KS4 Support - Enfield
Long Term Futures are working with a supportive and inclusive secondary school in Enfield to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
This role is ideal for someone with previous experience supporting students with SEN in a secondary setting, who is looking to grow professionally within a school that invests in development and training.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for students across KS3 and KS4, focusing on academic and pastoral needs
* Work closely with the SENCo and Heads of Year to implement EHCPs and behaviour strategies
* Adapt support techniques to meet a wide range of learning styles and individual needs
* Assist with clubs and enrichment activities during lunchtime and after school (optional)
* Encourage positive behaviour, engagement, and resilience in the classroom
* Support the wider inclusion team in maintaining an inclusive learning environment
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Experience supporting students in a secondary school environment
* Strong understanding of special educational needs and effective support strategies
* Confident, proactive, and adaptable approach to working with young people
* Excellent teamwork and communication skills with staff, students and families
* A genuine interest in progressing within education - ideal for future HLTA, mentor or teaching roles
