Responsibilities of the Music Teacher:-
Plan and deliver engaging and dynamic music lessons across KS3 and KS4, adapting your approach to suit different learning styles and abilities.

Foster a love of music in students through a variety of practical, theoretical, and digital approaches, helping them build confidence and performance skills.

Prepare students for concerts, performances, and examinations, showcasing the school’s musical talent and boosting students’ self-esteem.

Contribute to extra-curricular opportunities such as school choir, orchestra, or instrumental groups to enrich the musical culture of the school.

Assess and monitor student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback that supports academic and creative growth.

Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular links and innovative teaching strategies.

Maintain an inclusive classroom environment that promotes creativity, discipline, and enthusiasm for music.

Hold UK QTS or equivalent qualification in Music Education.

Demonstrate prior experience as a Music Teacher, ideally within a UK secondary school.

Be confident in teaching both practical and theoretical aspects of music.

Have strong classroom management skills and a student-centred approach to teaching.
- Hold an enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or be willing to apply).
