About the Role
One of my local government clients is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Payroll Assistant to join our Payroll Team on a temporary full-time basis.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a local authority payroll function, supporting the delivery of an accurate and efficient payroll service.
Key Responsibilities

Process both permanent and temporary payroll data using the SAP system.

Assist in checking and reconciling payroll output reports.

Provide excellent customer service by responding to payroll-related queries via email, telephone, and face-to-face.

We are seeking a proactive individual who:

Has strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Works with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Thrives in a team environment and is able to manage a busy workload.

Is flexible, particularly around office attendance requirements.
Knowledge of PAYE legislation and other statutory payroll requirements is desirable but not essential – full training will be provided.
