Finance Business Partner

Eden Brown Synergy is delighted to collaborate with a public sector organisation who are looking for an experienced Finance Business Partner to deliver high-quality financial advice, strategic insight, and operational support across key service areas.

This is a hybrid, permanent role, offering the chance to contribute to complex and meaningful financial work in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
* Act as a strategic partner, providing financial advice to senior stakeholders, directors, and service leads.
* Lead on budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and closing the accounts.
* Support the Head of Finance and Finance Managers in delivering professional, adaptable finance support.
* Conduct financial analysis, business case development, and option appraisals.
* Guide procurement processes and evaluate financial aspects of tenders.
* Present complex financial information clearly to a range of audiences, including departmental and project boards.
* Identify and support efficiencies, innovation, and improvements in financial support.

Essential Skills and Experience:
* CCAB/CIMA qualified, part-qualified, or with significant equivalent experience.
* Strong knowledge of local government finance and experience in managing large budgets.
* Excellent analytical, numerical, and communication skills, with the ability to present complex data to non-finance stakeholders.
* Proficiency in Excel and experience with integrated financial systems.
* Skilled in financial planning, case management, and stakeholder engagement.
* Experience advising senior leadership, supporting service change, and improving value for money outcomes.

Desirable:
* Experience in developing business cases and assessing new initiatives or funding streams.
* Familiarity with financial oversight in public procurement or capital projects.
