Location: London
Salary: 60,000 - 90,000 + Car Allowance + Pension + Life Assurance + Annual Leave
Fawkes & Reece are working with a leading Groundworks and Civils contractor, established over 30 years ago, to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. Role Overview:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the financial and contractual aspects of multiple live projects. You'll play a key role in cost control, procurement, and commercial reporting, ensuring profitability and compliance across all stages of project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all commercial aspects of allocated projects
- Prepare valuations, variations, cost reports, and final accounts
- Work closely with project teams to ensure accurate forecasting and budgeting
- Procure subcontractor packages and manage ongoing commercial relationships
- Identify and mitigate commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle
- Attend progress and client meetings as required
Skills & Experience Required:
- 5 years' experience in Quantity Surveying within groundworks, RC frame, or infrastructure sectors
- Background working with either main or subcontractors
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Self-driven and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
