Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Personal Advisor for a local authority based in East London.

In this role, you will provide support to young adults previously in care, empowering them to navigate the transition to independent living and achieve their personal goals.

Key Duties:

  • Support care leavers aged 18-24 in transitioning to independent living through regular visits, planning, and guidance.
  • Work collaboratively with education, employment, housing, and health services to meet young people's individual needs.
  • Maintain a caseload of up to 25 young adults, ensuring accurate records, assessments, and action plans are in place.
  • Attend and contribute to multi-agency meetings and reviews both within the borough and in out-of-borough placements.

Qualifications and Experience:

The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

  • Experience supporting young people, particularly care leavers or vulnerable young adults, through transitional life stages.
  • Proven ability to work in partnership with external agencies such as education, housing, health, and employment services.
  • Skilled in managing a varied caseload, with strong organisational and record-keeping abilities.
  • Confident in attending and contributing to multi-agency meetings, with excellent communication and advocacy skills.

What's on offer:

Salary: £19+ph

*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*

Contract type: 3-6, months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension

Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
