Spencer Clarke Group are seeking Homeless Housing Coordinator for a local authority based in East London.

In this role, you will prevent homelessness by providing advice, supporting residents to sustain accommodation, and working closely with partners to deliver lasting housing solutions.

Key Duties:

  • Provide expert advice on housing options, homelessness prevention, and welfare benefits.
  • Carry out home visits to assess risks, support residents, and develop prevention plans.
  • Work collaboratively with partners to sustain tenancies and prevent evictions.
  • Make informed homelessness decisions in line with legislation, policy, and safeguarding responsibilities.

Qualifications and Experience:

The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

  • Experience providing specialist advice on housing, homelessness, and welfare benefits.
  • Experience conducting home visits, risk assessments, and creating prevention plans.
  • Experience working collaboratively with partners to sustain housing and prevent evictions.
  • Experience making homelessness decisions based on legislation, policy, and safeguarding principles.

What's on offer:

Salary: Up to £27ph

*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*

Contract type: 3-6, months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension

Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
