This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with a strong background in youth justice to contribute to a service that prioritises safeguarding and risk management.
Essential Requirements:

Minimum of two years' experience working within the Youth Justice System (YJS)

Proven ability to write Pre-Sentence Reports (PSRs)

Proficient in carrying out assessments using AssetPlus
-
Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and risk management
-
Able to deliver high-quality, sequenced interventions aimed at reducing reoffending

Capable of preparing Referral Order and Breach reports

Demonstrated analytical and report-writing skills

Experience working collaboratively within multi-agency settings

Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends where necessary

Commitment to high standards of professional practice and continuous service improvement
Key Responsibilities:

Manage a caseload of young people, ensuring effective assessment, planning, intervention, and review

Write high-quality PSRs and other statutory reports in line with court requirements

Undertake comprehensive risk and needs assessments using AssetPlus
-
Develop and deliver evidence-based interventions to reduce reoffending and manage risk of harm

Ensure all work is compliant with safeguarding policies and procedures

Work closely with partner agencies to coordinate services and interventions for young people

Participate in ongoing supervision, training, and professional development

Contribute to service evaluations and audits to maintain high practice standards
