A vibrant and inclusive primary school in Enfield is seeking a highly experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join its dedicated SEN hub from September on a full-time basis.

The Role

In this role you will play a key role in delivering tailored support, both one-to-one and in small groups for students with SEND, helping them to access learning and reach their full potential. This role is ideal for someone looking to be part of a well-resourced, purpose-driven SEN provision where pupils are at the heart of everything they do. Ongoing training and support will be available for the right candidate.

The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant will:

  • Have significant experience working with children with SEND, particularly those with autism, speech and language needs, and communication difficulties
  • Be confident in using visual aids, such as PECS and visual timetables, to support learning and engagement
  • Have a strong working knowledge of Makaton and be able to use it effectively in the classroom
  • Be patient, adaptable, and proactive, with a genuine passion for inclusive education
  • Work well as part of a team, liaising with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals as needed
