Job Title: Financial Controller
Location: Epsom, Surrey
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000
Hours: Full time hours, Monday to Friday - 9am to 5pm. This is a hybrid position but needs to be in Epsom 3 days a week .

You will be a fully qualified accountant with experience of managing a small team, to deliver the end-to-end accounting responsibility for the business. As Financial Controller, you will be responsible for safeguarding the company's assets and liabilities through careful and controlled management of the balance sheet and cash flows. Furthermore, you will be responsible for ensuring the right and appropriate financial processes and controls exist and are adequately adhered to.

As a Financial Controller, your responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring month end finance close is performed in a timely and accurate manner
• Ensuring monthly management accounts are delivered in a timely and accurate manner
• Business partnering with the Operational & functional teams to ensure clarity in understanding the trading performance
• Ensuring all balance sheet accounts are regularly and appropriately reconciled
• Ensuring cash flows are monitored and controlled in a timely and accurate manner, through management of multiple bank accounts
• Management of the Group VAT reconciliations and payments
• Maintaining visibility and control of all financial risks and opportunities
• Liaison with external auditors
• Management and leadership of their team, acting as a coach in the development of their finance colleagues
• Provide best in class customer service to all internal and external stakeholders.
• Work flexibly to meet business deadlines.

To be a successful Financial Controller, you will have:

Essential

• Recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Experience of managing a team of finance colleagues
• Ability to work under pressure
• A self-starter
