Reed HR have an exciting opportunity for a Quality and Operations Manager (Learning and Development Manager) to join our client on a full-time permanent basis.
The successful candidate will be expected to spend 3 days per week at the Epsom office and 2 days every other week at Burnaston. This will mean that on weeks 2 and 4, you will spend 3 days at Epsom and 2 days at Burnaston. On weeks 1 and 3, you will spend at least 3 days in Epsom and the remaining two days can be worked from home. You will need to be a driver for this role and there will need to be flexibility, as some projects may require more time at one site than another.
The role:
The Quality & Operations Manager will measure the impact and quality of programmes and training, in terms of learning outcomes and results.
The successful candidate will ensure that objectives are fully supported, that the organisation is managing outcomes through strong commercial performance, driving transformation and enabling the delivery of a customer-first experience from the wider teams.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively investigate and interpret data in order to make recommendations for future programme improvement, supporting change
- Seek out opportunities for working practice and system (SABA) efficiencies, which will enable increased levels of automation and dashboard data
- Oversee course scheduling, ensuring that planning of training courses meets expected and predicted demands, and ensures the management teams can achieve licencing status requirements in a timely fashion
- Ensure trainer utilisation meets minimum required levels
- Escalate any issues as appropriate and provide regular progress reports as per the reporting mechanisms provided, to ensure delivery of SLAs in line with contractual arrangements
- Manage programme of regular team meetings, to facilitate sharing of ideas and best practice
- Act as first point of contact for all day-to-day team queries
- Take the lead on special projects as required by the Skills Manager
- Actively engage with teams to enable positive working practices and relationships and promote a collaborative relationship between Burnaston and Epsom teams
- Develop and deliver a planned calendar of curricula review to ensure that training programmes support business objectives and deliver positive outcomes
- Develop and maintain process for quality assurance of all flex trainer activity (including Train the Trainer activity and on-going training delivery observation/feedback)
- Ensure processes in place for regular review of delegate feedback and make recommendations for change where appropriate
- Attend stakeholder meetings and relevant external events to stay up to date with new developments, to aid and inform future design process and content
- Actively seek out opportunities to work with/engage with wider business contacts to maximise opportunities
- Oversee training curricula delivery to ensure that the training team adhere to best practice outcomes. In addition, ensure standard protocols to deliver high levels of professionalism, delegate engagement and consistent training outcomes are met.
