An opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Manager to join a well-established engineering company specializing in the maintenance and recycling of fire suppression systems and gas cylinders for aviation and industrial applications.

As a Commercial Manager, you will be driving commercial direction, leading sales teams, and developing key industry partnerships to expand the market presence.

This role offers a salary range of £60,000 - £80,000 plus commission / bonus up to £10,000 - £15,000 and benefits.

You will be responsible for:

  • Designing and delivering commercial strategies that align with overall business aims
  • Leading internal and external sales operations to deliver consistent growth
  • Managing and mentoring high-performing sales professionals
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with OEMs, distributors, and other key partners
  • Monitoring competitor activity and market shifts to adapt strategies proactively
  • Developing pricing strategies that ensure a balance between competitiveness and profitability
  • Delivering detailed commercial reports and insights to inform ongoing business planning

What we are looking for

  • Previously worked as a Sales Director, Commercial Director, Business Development Manager, Head of Sales, National Sales Manager, Regional Sales Manager, Sales Manager – Fire Protection, Key Account Manager, OEM Sales Manager, Technical Sales Manager, Strategic Account Manager, Fire Suppression Sales Manager, Channel Sales Manager, Export Sales Manager, Territory Sales Manager, Contracts Manager or in a similar role
  • In-depth knowledge of the fire suppression sector, including components such as cylinders, valves, and suppression gases
  • Demonstrated success in leading commercial teams and achieving revenue growth
  • A track record of managing client relationships across high-value commercial accounts
  • Excellent analytical skills to guide pricing, forecasting, and market positioning
  • Degree-level education in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline
  • Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally as business demands
