SALARY: £30,420 - £40,560 per annum (£15 - £20 per Hour) Depending on Experience + Overtime

LOCATION: Esher, Surrey

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: 39 Hours per Week, 8am-5pm Monday to Thursday and 8am - 1pm Friday

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Quality Inspector / Quality Control Technicianwho has an eye for detail and experience working in an ISO9001:2015 or AS9100D environment.

Working as the Quality Inspector / Quality Control Technician you will join a dynamic engineering team in a pivotal role where you will ensure the highest quality standards are met across the engineering / manufacturing processes, from initial production to final dispatch.

As the Quality Inspector / Quality Control Technician you will be instrumental in checking first-off parts from the CNC Mills and Lathes, performing thorough batch inspections before components go for outwork, and conducting essential incoming and final inspections.

A key part of your role will also involve completing First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) and detailed inspection reports for customers. You'll also manage supplier rejects and customer returns, playing a crucial part in maintaining the firms quality reputation.

DUTIES

Your duties as the Quality Inspector / Quality Control Technician include:

  • Checking First off parts produced mainly on CNC Mills & Lathes
  • Checking batches of components prior to outwork (Plating, Heat Treatment etc)
  • Incoming Inspection
  • Final Inspection
  • Completing FAIR’s
  • Completing Inspection reports, saving and sending to customers
  • Dealing with rejects to suppliers and customer returns

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

As a successful candidate you will need experience with:

  • Working as an Inspector in an ISO9001:2015 or AS9100D environment
  • Working in a precision engineering environment, using mechanical measuring equipment, e.g. micrometres, gauges, surface plates, dial gauges
  • Programming and using a CMM
  • Creating FAIR’s
  • Experience of PPAP an advantage

You’ll also need:

  • A keen eye for detail
  • The ability to use your initiative
  • A great team player
  • Excellent written and oral English communication skills
