This is an excellent opportunity to join the HS2 programme in a client-side capacity, providing assurance and acting as the eyes and ears on the ground. You’ll be supporting the Senior H&S Manager, working closely with the contractor to ensure robust health and safety practices are upheld across a complex and evolving project.

This role is about applying your practical experience to improve on-site safety and management arrangements in real time. You will be on-site 3 days a week, travelling between Euston and West Ruislip as required (expenses covered beyond your base).

Essential:

  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate
  • Experience conducting or supporting incident investigations on major programmes or within a civils contractor environment
  • Strong understanding of contractor H&S management systems and on-the-ground safety practice
  • Ability to operate as a trusted advisor and challenge constructively
  • Background on high-profile civil engineering programmes (e.g. Crossrail, Tideway, Hinkley, Silvertown) desirable.
  • Exposure to client-side assurance or working for principal contractors/Tier 1/Tier 2 contractors.
  • Experience in fit-out, tunnelling or structural civils preferred
