- General haulage
- Multidrop deliveries
- Delivering palletised goods
Duties
- Operate lorries in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods to designated locations while maintaining the highest safety standards.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing of items on flatbed trailers.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents that may occur during transport.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures related to transportation and safety.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driving license (C+E or equivalent) with a clean driving record.
- 1 years experience on the HGV license.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting goods.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Good physical fitness to handle loading and unloading tasks as required.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
