Maintenance Engineer – 4on 4off Days
ÂŁ42,500 | Evesham | Hands-on Role | Training & Progression
Â
If your idea of a good day at work involves reading a PowerPoint about “synergistic workflows,” this won’t be your kind of place.
Â
This job is for someone who wants to get stuck in. Tools in hand. Boots on the floor. Fixing, improving, upgrading — not just filling in logbooks and pretending a temporary fix is “long-term robust.”
You’ll be part of a small, busy team responsible for keeping production running smoothly. No dragging your feet waiting for someone else to fix it — you are the someone else.
The work is proper: fault diagnosis, electrical maintenance, some light PLC involvement, plus assisting with project upgrades and keeping the site in decent shape.
There’s variety — think of it as electrical-biased multi-skilling, not pigeonholed panel-twiddling.
Â
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Planned maintenance and breakdowns — ideally fewer breakdowns, thanks to you
- Spotting opportunities to make the plant run better, not just “less badly”
- Supporting upgrades and process improvement projects
- Looking after building services when needed — wiring, lighting, general electrical
- Occasionally fixing things nobody knew were broken yet (your favourite kind)
What you’ll need:
- NVQ Level 2 minimum and a couple of years’ experience in a fast-moving environment
- Decent electrical knowledge (bonus points if you’ve touched a PLC inputs and outputs)
- A brain that spots problems before they become problems
- The sort of attitude where you get involved and crack on
What you get:
- ÂŁ42,500 salary
- Progression and training if you want it (and yes, they mean it)
- Pension, holiday, free parking, PPE, the usual
- Cycle to work, share scheme, onsite nurse, and a few other genuinely useful perks
Â
This isn’t a job for coasters. It’s a job for doers.
You up for it?
