Position: Part-Qualified Management Accountant
Location: Exeter Central. Full-Time, Permanent
Hybrid Working Available
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000
Are you a driven finance professional looking to take the next step in your career? We're seeking a Part-Qualified/finalist Management Accountant to join a growing finance team and play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, insightful analysis, and decision-making support across the business.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a PQ Management Accountant, you'll work closely with senior finance staff and departmental managers to help deliver robust financial planning and performance analysis. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, supportive environment with study support and upwards progression provided.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in preparing monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and variance analysis
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Produce financial reports for internal stakeholders
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and support year-end audit preparation
- Identify process improvements and support implementation of new systems and controls
- Business partnering with non-financial teams to explain financial data
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
- Part-qualified (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA) with at least 2-3 years' relevant experience
- Strong Excel skills; experience with financial systems (sage preferred)
- Commercially aware, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to meet deadlines
- A proactive and collaborative mindset
