Your new company


My client is currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant who would ideally be studying for the AAT Level 3/4 qualification or (QBE considered/ equivalent) to support the Finance Manager.


Your new role

  • Assist with the preparation of weekly and monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and journals.
  • Maintain and reconcile ledgers, including bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assist in processing invoices and supplier payments accurately and efficiently.
  • Support with VAT returns and other statutory financial reports.
  • Assist in budget preparation and forecasting across various departments within the resort.
  • Liaise with external auditors and provide support during the year-end audit.
  • Respond to internal finance queries across departments, offering clear and accurate guidance.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve and streamline financial processes.




What you'll need to succeed

  • AAT Level 3/4 qualification or equivalent/ QBE considered (essential).
  • Proven accounting experience.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Sage) and using Microsoft Excel.
  • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
