Our client is an award-winning property consultancy delivering high profile services to a range of public and private sector clients . They are looking for an Associate Structural Engineer to join their team and are offering excellent company benefits and very competitive salary for the right person.

The role:

  • Completing planned work programmes and projects to timeframes and with budget.
  • Managing client needs and ensure that projects are delivered to client satisfaction.
  • Assisting the relevant director in managing engineering resources across the Structural Engineering team.
  • Leading major projects ensuring that they are delivered to the specification.
  • Preparing designs, calculations, specifications, drawing and carrying out risk assessments for improvement, refurbishment and new building schemes, tendering documents and supervising works to completion, including agreeing interim and final accounts.
  • Responding to emergency requests for action or advice regarding dangerous buildings. Attending and advising on incidents.

About you:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a structural engineering related discipline
  • Professional membership of the Institute of Structural Engineers and be working or prepared to work towards Chartered status
  • Holds a current site card or is prepared to immediately attain
  • Conversant with Health and Safety legislation.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD
  • Familiar with relevant construction, health and safety legislation and risks and hazards associated with asbestos
  • You will be provided access to a number of specialist design tools (including CAD, Revit, Robot & Tekla) to ensure projects are delivered to specification, with your existing knowledge of these or equivalent being essential.
