Exciting Opportunity for a Civil Projects Site Engineer in Marine and Heavy Civils

My client is looking for an ambitious Civil Projects Engineer to work on diverse and rewarding marine civil engineering projects across the UK, valued up to £7m. This role blends hands-on site management with maintaining quality systems, offering a perfect mix of technical challenge and leadership experience.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Leading daily site operations and coordinating with the Contracts Manager.
  • Providing engineering support to resolve technical issues and queries on-site.
  • Interfacing with clients and ensuring all queries are managed in line with contract requirements.
  • Precision setting out to ensure projects are completed within tolerances.
  • Maintaining quality control by recording and testing workmanship and materials.
  • Delivering daily briefings to ensure the site team is aligned and informed.
  • Preparing essential site documentation like risk assessments and method statements, ensuring clear communication across the team.
  • Collaborating with the commercial team to keep projects profitable and on schedule.
  • Mentoring and supervising junior engineers, helping them grow and succeed.

What You Bring to the Role:

  • A degree, HND, or equivalent in Civil Engineering.
  • At least 4 years' experience in a similar role.
  • A strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
  • A valid CSCS Card.
  • Flexibility to work on projects across the UK.
  • A full driving licence.

Additional Skills That Set You Apart:

  • SMSTS or SSSTS qualification.
  • Temporary Works Supervisor (TWS) certification.
  • Familiarity with NEC contracts.
