Our client, a significant player in the water construction sector, is looking for a dedicated Site Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. This role is pivotal in ensuring the technical integrity of the project works, with responsibilities that span health and safety, quality, environmental standards, and commercial management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintaining excellent and effective working relationships with the customer and their representatives/advisors
- Implementing the company's Strategy and Policies for Sustainability, Health and Safety, Quality, Environmental, Training and Development, acting as an exemplar of the company culture and values
- Implementing the company's Business Management System
- Proactively identifying and resolving problems
- Supporting initiatives to deliver ongoing continuous improvement
- Managing junior staff, including conducting annual appraisals and development
- Ensuring that the project works comply with the contract specifications and drawings, maintaining appropriate records to confirm such compliance
- Other duties relevant to the role
Job Requirements:
- Appropriate technical knowledge and main contractor construction experience
- Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant construction subject (essential)
- Safety Level 1 course
- Appropriate CSCS Card
- Comprehensive experience as a Site Engineer working for a main contractor (essential)
- Experience as a Graduate or Trainee Site Engineer
