South-West based role

DK recruitment is looking for a site manager for our new client covering the South-West, on high end landscaping projects. Due to expansion, they are looking to expand their team. This role could be considered on a full time perm or Long term temp on-going / Self-employed.

Our client offers a wide range of landscaping and property maintenance services. These include garden design, hard landscaping (like paving and patios), fencing, decking, artificial grass installation, and lawn care (turfing, mowing, and maintenance).

We are looking for a site manager that has a strong understanding about landscaping, someone that understands the risks and has worked on environmental / landscaping projects before.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring all site activity is carried out safely, efficiently and in line with design and CDM requirements
  • Communicating clearly with Directors, designer teams and clients
  • Overseeing and participating in the delivery of hard and soft landscaping tasks
  • Managing site tools, machinery and vehicles, ensuring maintenance and readiness
  • Proactively identifying and reporting site issues, risks or improvements to management
  • Managing costs and targets, working within project budgets

You will need:

  • Proven experience managing landscaping or external works projects
  • Hands-on experience in hard and soft landscaping
  • A practical understanding of site health & safety, CDM and KPI delivery
  • Full driving licence required
  • SMSTS
