A well-established and growing accountancy firm is looking to appoint a Client Portfolio Manager to join their team, with the opportunity to be based in Exeter. This is a varied and client-focused role involving the management of a portfolio of owner-managed businesses, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
Key Responsibilities:

Reviewing and planning accounts work for a mixed client portfolio

Supporting and mentoring junior staff, including budget planning and file reviews

Liaising directly with clients to resolve queries and finalise accounts

Preparing management accounts and offering insightful commentary

Handling tax planning (personal and corporate), dividends, and VAT reviews

Advising clients on tax liabilities and providing ad hoc financial guidance

Attending client meetings (both in person and online)

Overseeing deadlines, workflow, and billing across the portfolio
What Our Client is Looking For:

ACA/ACCA qualified with experience in a similar role within practice

Strong communication and organisational skills
-
Confidently managing client relationships and leading a team

Familiarity with cloud-based systems like Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage is desirable

Experience with Digita or CCH is a bonus, not essential
