BDS are currently recruiting for a Tenancy Sustainment Officer to work with a Housing Association in the Exeter area to helps tenants, especially those facing difficulties, to successfully maintain their housing.

The main focus of the role is;

  • Offer guidance on financial matters like welfare benefits anddebt management
  • Assist with accessing grants and support services
  • Advocate on the tenant's behalf with external agencies
  • Foster relationships with relevant organisations likeDWP,

This role is being offered on afull time, fixed term basis until June 2026, working 37 hours per week. This is a field-based role in Exeter.

The ideal candidate will have;

  • Experience of working with a wide range of people from varying backgrounds with housing management needs.
  • Good level of literacy and numeracy.
  • Safeguarding certification.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Experience of applying common sense to situations and managing risks.
  • Experience in dealing with challenging and dangerous behaviour.
  • Knowledge of what housing related support is and the issues that people face on a daily basis.

Salary between- 25,659- 28,510 per annum
