Public & Green Space / Grounds Maintenance Team Leader needed in Exeter, £15.84ph PAYE - Reference: 5266494

To support the Public and Green Space Operators undertaking cleansing and grounds maintenance services to keep the city looking good.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

1. To understand and organise what resources - staff, plant, materials and equipment – are required to meet demand and when the job is required.

2. To supervise and support the Public and Green Space Operators actively in the streets, parks and open spaces to meet the demand for cleansing, and grounds maintenance services.

3. To respond to requests for resources from Public and Green Space Operators, and external sources to ensure efficient operations.

4. To undertake quarterly inspections of owned playground equipment, writing reports and arranging appropriate levels of replacement/withdrawal/ repairs of equipment to ensure safe levels of play for young people.

5. To advise and assist people and businesses in keeping their local area looking good.

6. To work flexibly at evenings and weekends when required to meet the demands of the service

7. Such other duties relevant to the post and grading and relating to the overall job description which may from time to time be deemed appropriate.
