This Service Engineer role is suited to someone who has experience in similar engineering roles who is used to lone/remote working in the Devon & Cornwall area.

The candidate must have proven maintenance experience with electromechanical systems, have a strong analytical and problem-solving ability along with excellent written and verbal communication skills. They must be thorough with a good eye for detail, flexible, and use to a varied working day.

Good organisational skills are essential, as you will manage your weekly calendar.

Skills: Electrical, mechanical, and Plumbing experience.

Minimum qualifications: IET Wiring Regulation, BS 7671, 18th Addition.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain, repair, and if necessary, replace the Company's products.
  • Site based commissioning work.
  • Respond to planned maintenance through Service Contracts.
  • Attend breakdowns and action in a timely manner.
  • Non-contract works as required by Wallgate.
  • View and manage your working calendar.
  • Production of Engineers report following works
  • Covering other zones in the UK outside of Devon & Cornwall when required
  • Manage your tools and equipment.
  • Maintain adequate stock of spares on your works van-
  • Care and maintenance of the company's vehicle, ensuring service intervals are adhered to. Carryout weekly vehicle inspection as detailed in the vehicle maintenance schedule.
  • Attend the Company's premises to assist with other work or assembly production from time to time.
  • Overnight stays when required.
