Installation / Engineering / Warehouse Fit-Out / Assembly / Industrial Pallet Racking

Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer, installer, fitter, or assembly technician looking for your next challenge? We are looking for a motivated and dependable Industrial Racking Installer to join a dynamic and friendly installation team based in Exeter. You'll be working on commercial projects, installing storage solutions including pallet racking systems and mezzanine floors in a variety of industrial and warehousing environments.

This is a hands-on, physical role ideally suited for someone with experience in mechanical assembly, fitting, installation or steel errecting work. You'll be provided with full training, career progression opportunities, and a company van, however any previous experience in a similar role or industry is highly desirable!

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Installation and maintenance of industrial racking systems
  • Use of Scissor lifts in a safe manner
  • Work to engineering drawings
  • Assist to complete installations and maintenance on time and to client satisfaction.

Skills & Requirements

  • Previous experience in installation, fitting, mechanical assembly, maintenance or mechanical or steel erecting
  • Strong practical skills and proficiency with use of hand tools; Band Saw, Drills etc
  • Ability to read engineering drawings as steel racking material needs to be cut to client specification before installation.
  • Full UK driving licence essential (towing licence desirable).
  • Physically fit - able to lift and handle equipment safely.
  • Must be comfortable working at height.
  • Flexible and willing to travel during work hours (occasional overnight stays may be required)
  • Scissor Lift licence is highly desirable
  • FLT Counterbalance or Reach Truck licence is desirable
  • Good communication and a team player attitude.
