Set-up: Hybrid - 1-2 days onsite

Duration: 3-6 months initially

Responsibilities include:

  • Day to day duty of bringing together all compliance meeting service targets and standards
  • Responsible for ensuring the council meets the requirements of key compliance areas: fire, asbestos, legionella, gas, electrical
  • Implement and maintain systems and processes to manage these areas effectively, ensuring adherence to relevant legislation and regulations
  • Procurement & Management of FM contracts to deliver value for money for the council
  • Ensuring compliance with the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Policy and associated Health and Safety Performance Standards across the corporate estate

Essential Skills:

  • Local Government experience required for shortlisting, thereafter at clients discretion
  • Experience managing consultants/contractors, briefs, tendering, procurement
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject (e.g. Contract Management/ Facilities Management)
  • Membership of or eligibility for membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. IWFM, IOSH, RICS)
  • Knowledge of latest legislation and regulations in relation to property health & safety ? Formal Health and Safety Management Qualification (e.g. NEBOSH General
