Process Design Engineer

A great new opportunity to join a Water sector specialist awarded tier-one framework status with South West Water. My client, a national contractor with a company turnover of 200 million, requires a Process Design Engineer to be involved in Turnkey clean water with values from 20 million to over 100 million. As Process Engineer you will provide superior quality engineering design services to allow our client to minimise risks and maximise profits on turnkey and engineering service contracts. Reporting to a Senior Process Engineer, you will co-ordinate and produce design documents and drawings, taking account of health and safety requirements, specifications and standards pertaining to the contract.

As Process Design Engineer you will:

• Be responsible for producing cost-effective design layouts to meet specification requirements and which can be constructed and commissioned effectively.
• Ensure that designs take into account all environmental and health & safety requirements.
• Write, monitor and review procedures and processes, ensuring continued development of the department.
• Coordinate designs with all internal and external stakeholders
• Provide estimates and feedback for the Proposals department.

Our client requires a Process Design Engineer with:

• HND/Degree in relevant engineering discipline
• Chartered Engineer status (or ideally working towards this)
• Significant experience of producing designs of process plant systems, ideally within the Water sector.
• The ability to rationalise designs and produce cost-effective plant layouts.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to present technical proposals confidently

Salary/Benefits:

• 40,000 - 50,000 per annum
