Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor - Water Infrastructure

Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor looking for your next role in water infrastructure? My client, a main contractor delivering water main renewal and clean water civils projects, has an immediate opportunity to join the commercial team supporting multiple live schemes.

Responsibilities

Administer commercial and financial aspects of projects across the programme
Prepare CVRs, cost and value reports, applications for payment and forecasts
Manage procurement for labour, plant, materials and subcontract packages
Lead subcontract management from terms and risk attribution to final account
Manage change through Early Warnings and Variations
Administer the principal contract, including NEC and IChemE Burgundy Book
Provide VOWD and demand forecasting with robust cost control
Work closely with delivery teams to support safe and efficient delivery
Identify opportunities to improve value and margin

Skills and Experience

Degree, HND or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management, or substantial relevant experience
Experience in water, utilities or civil infrastructure
Strong working knowledge of NEC. JCT and IChemE experience beneficial
Proactive approach to risk and opportunity management
Intermediate to advanced Excel, confident handling large data sets
Full UK driving licence
