Senior Quantity Surveyor Renewable Energy

About the Role:
We are looking for a driven and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team on a major renewable energy project in the Exeter region, covering large-scale battery storage and solar installations. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially focused QS to play a leading role in the delivery of sustainable infrastructure that supports the UKs Net Zero ambitions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the commercial delivery of renewable energy packages under NEC contracts
  • Identify and leverage commercial opportunities throughout the project lifecycle
  • Provide robust cost planning, risk management, and value engineering
  • Operate with a high level of autonomy while engaging collaboratively with stakeholders
  • Administer contract changes, valuations, and final accounts
  • Support and mentor junior team members as required

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in the renewable energy or infrastructure sector, ideally solar or battery storage
  • A clear, structured career history with recognised contractors or consultancies
  • Strong knowledge and experience working under NEC3/NEC4 contracts
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a relevant discipline
  • Commercially astute, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive, independent worker with the ability to spot and act on commercial opportunities
