  • About the Role

    Our client is seeking a dedicated Rough Sleeper Prevention Worker to support individuals experiencing rough sleeping in Exeter. This role involves engaging with people both on the streets and within emergency accommodation, including sleeping pods, to help them transition into safer, more stable living situations.

    You will deliver high-quality, person-centred outreach services as part of a supportive team, making contact with new, repeat, and long-term rough sleepers across the Exeter City Council area.

    Please note: This role requires flexibility, including working weekends and unsocial hours, and the ability to walk several miles in all weather conditions.



    Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct assertive outreach and visit known rough sleeping hotspots
  • Manage referrals and support individuals accessing emergency accommodation
  • Complete needs assessments, support plans, and risk assessments
  • Empower clients by identifying their strengths and goals, and supporting their personal development
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records using the internal case management system
  • Undertake additional duties in line with the role as required


  • Requirements

  • A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (with business insurance)
  • Experience working with vulnerable adults and/or individuals with complex needs
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients and partner services
