Prospero Teaching is seeking a compassionate and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs in a range of inclusive and supportive primary and secondary schools across Exeter.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a difference in children's lives and wants to work in a rewarding educational environment.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities.
  • Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Monitor and report on pupil progress and behaviour.
  • Support pupils with personal care needs, where required.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school-based or other settings).
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
  • Right to work in the UK.
