Role: Learning Mentor
Location: Exeter
Salary: £16 - £18 per hour
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, term time only)
Contract: Until July 2025, with the potential to become permanent

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-regarded, student-centred provider with a strong commitment to supporting learning across Devon. This full-time Learning Mentor role offers the chance to support young people aged 16 - 25, helping them develop confidence, independence and vital life skills in real-world settings.
About The Role:
As a Learning Mentor, you’ll work closely with students who have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), guiding them through personalised learning journeys based in the local community. Whether it’s in libraries, leisure centres, workplaces or learning hubs, your role will be to engage and mentor learners towards both accredited qualifications and meaningful everyday achievements.
Key Responsibilities:

Support and mentor students in a variety of community-based environments

Design and deliver engaging, inclusive learning tailored to individual needs

Monitor progress toward both educational and personal development goals

Work collaboratively with tutors, families and professionals to provide holistic support

Promote confidence, independence and real-life skills through hands-on learning
