Location: Nursing Home, Exeter
Salary: Up to £52,000 per annum

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Clinical Deputy Manager to join our nursing home team in Exeter. This pivotal role supports the Registered Manager in delivering high-quality care, ensuring clinical excellence, and maintaining regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will be a Registered Nurse with significant experience in nursing home settings, demonstrating strong leadership and clinical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Registered Manager in overseeing daily clinical operations and staff management.
  • Lead and supervise nursing and care staff to deliver person-centred care that meets residents’ needs.
  • Ensure compliance with CQC standards and other regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in care planning, audits, and risk assessments to maintain high standards of care.
  • Support staff training, appraisal, and development.
  • Manage clinical governance, safeguarding, medication administration, and infection control protocols.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and external agencies to enhance resident wellbeing.
  • Deputise for the Registered Manager as required.


Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with valid NMC registration.
  • Proven experience working in a nursing home setting as a nurse.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and care standards.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate care.
