About the role:

AMLR is working in partnership with a leading steel fabrication company specialising in bespoke metalwork and structural engineering solutions. From architectural installations such as balustrades, handrails, and staircases to industrial and structural fabrications like beams, platforms, and flood barriers, this company is known for its craftsmanship and precision across a wide range of projects.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Welder Fabricator to join their workshop team. This is a hands-on, workshop-based role producing high-quality stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminium fabrications for a variety of industries.

You’ll be working on unique, bespoke builds rather than repetitive production, offering variety and the chance to take real pride in your work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate and weld a variety of metal components including balustrades, handrails, staircases, platforms, and structural frames.
  • Work with stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminium.
  • Read and interpret detailed fabrication drawings.
  • Carry out marking out, cutting, drilling, and assembly of fabricated structures.
  • Operate fabrication tools and machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure all work meets company quality and safety standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Time-served or qualified Welder Fabricator with proven workshop experience.
  • Strong MIG/TIG welding and fabrication skills.
  • Ability to read and work from technical drawings with accuracy.
  • Experience in architectural and/or structural steel fabrication.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
