CNC Milling Machining Cell Leader

Salary: £18.00 – £19.00 per hour (DOE)

Actio Recruitment is seeking a skilled CNC Milling Machine programmer /Setter/ Operator to provide technical leadership within one of our precision machining clients based in Exhall overseeing a cell comprising of four CNC milling machines (3-axis and 5-axis).
Key Responsibilities:
- Program (online and offline), set, and operate CNC milling machines
- Interpret engineering drawings and 3D digital files
- Manufacture prototypes and small production runs to tight tolerances
- Conduct manual and CMM inspection of machined components
- Uphold quality standards and ensure compliance with agreed specifications
- Provide technical support to cell members in programming, fixturing, and machine setup
- Foster collaborative working relationships within the team
Required Experience & Qualifications:
- leadership experience
- Time-served or equivalent experience in CNC milling
- Relevant engineering qualification
- Confident in proving unproven programs safely
- Skilled in CMM and manual inspection techniques
- Oline Programming experience (preferably Heidenhain)
- CAM experience (preferably EDGECAM)
- Experience machining a wide range of materials including Inconel, titanium, super duplex, aluminium-bronze, plastics, and more
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Flexible and team-oriented approach
Working Hours: Can be flexible on start and end times.
- Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 4:30pm
- Friday: 7:30am – 12:30pm
