Job Title: Management Accountant

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 (DOE)

Location: North Suffolk

Type: Full-Time, Permanent

We're looking for a proactive finance professional to join a close-knit team in a pivotal role that goes far beyond month-end. This is your chance to get hands-on with management accounts, cash flow, and VAT compliance, while also helping shape smarter processes and supporting key decision-making at the heart of the business.

You'll work closely with the Financial Controller, preparing accurate monthly accounts, delivering insightful KPIs, and ensuring everything from reconciliations to audits runs like clockwork. It's a role that balances technical depth with the opportunity to drive real improvements in how finance supports the wider organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing accurate monthly management accounts and KPIs
  • Leading on month-end processes, accruals, prepayments, and forecasting
  • Completing balance sheet reconciliations and supporting audits
  • Preparing VAT returns and ensuring compliance with accounting standards
  • Delivering clear financial analysis and helping drive process improvements
  • Assisting with cash flow projections, budgeting, and continuous improvement projects

About You:

  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified
  • Strong knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping and accounting principles
  • Highly analytical with strong attention to detail
  • Confident using accounting systems (experience with Microsoft Business Central a plus, but training provided)
  • Experience in hospitality desirable, but not essential
  • Proactive, hands-on, and eager to contribute to a team-focused environment
