Engineering Team Lead
Location: Suffolk
Salary: Up to 65,000
This is fantastic opportunity for an Engineering Team Lead with a proven track record, to join a well-established FMCG manufacturer in Suffolk. You will be an essential part of the leadership team for the unit, ensuring strong engineering reliability and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a multidisciplinary engineering team (mechanical, electrical, and controls) to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations.
- Oversee both planned and reactive maintenance activities, fostering a culture of compliance and continuous improvement.
- Manage engineering budgets and contribute to the delivery of site performance targets.
- Ensure full compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements (including LOLER, PUWER, DSEAR).
- Drive the adoption of Lean tools and structured problem-solving techniques across the team.
- Support capital investment projects and lead defect elimination initiatives.
Requirements:
- Proven leadership experience within engineering, ideally in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Previous roles may include (Engineering Supervisor, Maintenance Manager, Lead Engineer, Engineering Lead or Senior Engineer)
- FMCG or food manufacturing experience is highly desirable; other fast-paced industry backgrounds will also be considered.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence at all levels.
