We are looking for an ambitious Sous Chef or a strong Junior Sous ready to step up to join the kitchen team at a 2 AA Rosette, family-owned coaching inn with an intimate, high-quality restaurant and 11 beautifully appointed bedrooms, located in the Cambridgeshire area.
This is a genuinely special, close-knit operation that prides itself on using the finest ingredients, delivering refined, seasonal food in a warm and personal setting. The kitchen offers the standards and creativity of a high-end restaurant, balanced with the charm and character of a well-run country inn.
The RoleSupporting the Head Chef in the daily running of a 2 Rosette kitchen
Delivering consistently high standards using top-quality, seasonal produce
Running sections confidently and supporting service across the kitchen
Assisting with ordering, stock control and GP awareness
Maintaining excellent food safety, hygiene and kitchen standards
Helping coach and develop junior members of the brigade
Current Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous looking for their next step
Experience in rosette-level restaurants, gastro pubs or quality-led kitchens
A passion for refined, ingredient-driven cooking
Organised, calm and professional approach during service
Strong understanding of kitchen operations and compliance
Must be able to drive due to location
Full-time, permanent position
No live-in accommodation
