On-site 4 days per week | Permanent Opportunity | Competitive Salary & Benefits

Join one of the UK's most ambitious infrastructure programmes

At Morson Talent, we're proud to partner with the Sizewell C (SZC) Project - a once-in-a-generation opportunity to be part of one of the UK's largest and most exciting low-carbon energy developments. Building on the success of Hinkley Point C, SZC will provide clean, reliable electricity to 6 million homes for the next 60 years, helping Britain achieve its Net Zero by 2050 ambitions.

We're currently recruiting for an experienced Project Manager (Rail) to join the Associated Developments Civils Programme, supporting the safe and efficient delivery of major rail infrastructure that underpins this nationally significant project.

The Opportunity

As Project Manager (Rail), you'll take the lead in planning and delivering one or more projects within the rail scope of the SZC Associated Developments Programme. Working closely with internal stakeholders, contractors, and key partners such as Network Rail, you'll be responsible for ensuring safe, on-time, and on-budget delivery through the full project lifecycle - from design through to handover.

You'll report directly to the Senior Project Manager (Rail) and play a vital role in coordinating a multi-disciplinary team to deliver innovative, high-quality solutions that meet the demands of a complex and high-profile megaproject.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the delivery of allocated rail projects safely, on time, within scope, and to budget.
Define and manage the work scope, interfaces, and dependencies across the wider programme.
Support the development and integration of fully coordinated multi-disciplinary solutions.
Engage with key stakeholders including Network Rail, local authorities, regulators, and contractors.
Manage progress against milestones, budget, and schedule, reporting to senior leadership.
Apply Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and SZC change control processes.
Ensure effective planning and implementation in line with all safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Drive continuous improvement and knowledge capture throughout project delivery.
Lead teams to maintain compliance with contractual, technical, and sustainability requirements.

The Rail Programme Includes:

Upgrade of the Saxmundham to Leiston branch line and its junction with the East Suffolk line.
Construction of new temporary railheads within the Ancillary and Temporary Construction Areas.
Construction of a new single-track railway connecting the branch line to the main construction site.
Upgrades to the East Suffolk line, including level crossings, track, and signalling (delivered by Network Rail).

About You

You'll be a proven Project Manager with a strong background in multi-disciplinary rail or infrastructure projects within technically complex and regulated environments - ideally major civils, energy, or nuclear. You'll have a sharp focus on safety, governance, and delivery excellence.

Essential Experience & Qualifications:

Demonstrable success in managing large-scale, multi-discipline rail projects.
Experienced in the full project lifecycle - from concept through to close-out.
Skilled in cost control, risk management, and change management.
Strong understanding of Network Rail processes and standards (e.g. GRIP, AMP, DWWP).
Experienced in working under NEC or FIDIC contracts.
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Degree qualified and Chartered (CEng or equivalent) in Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline.
Holds valid PTS and CSCS certification.
Proficient with MS Office 365, Teams, BIM, and project management tools.
French language skills advantageous but not essential.

What's on Offer

A career-defining role on one of the UK's most significant low-carbon infrastructure projects.
Opportunity to work with leading industry experts in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment.
Competitive remuneration and benefits package.

Role based in Rendlesham, transitioning to Leiston Airfield (on-site 4 days per week).
