Health and Safety Advisor - Suffolk
Salary: 50,000 plus 5,000 Car Allowance OR Company Car
12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Are you an experienced health and safety professional within construction, with major civil infrastructure project experience?

If so there is an opportunity to work on a major civil infrastructure project as a Health and Safety Advisor for a 12-month fixed-term contract. You'll join a dedicated HSEQ team of Advisors and Managers for a company that has an excellent reputation for delivering large-scale, technically challenging projects and maintaining the highest standards of health and safety.

The company has major projects across the UK, and an excellent track record when it comes to Health and Safety.

Responsibilities of the Health and Safety Advisor will include:

  • Engaging across the sites, implementing health and safety policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation
  • Conducting training, toolbox talks, inductions and investigating incidents where required
  • Reviewing the production of risk assessments and method statements and answering any health and safety related queries
  • Undertaking audits and inspections of the site, identifying areas for improvement and reporting on the findings

The successful Health and Safety Advisor will have:

  • Proven experience in a similar role ideally from within construction and major civil infrastructure
  • Excellent project experience and track record
  • NEBOSH general certificate or equivalent
  • Excellent communications skills and ability to work well with a wide range of people
  • Drive and enthusiasm with the ability to promote a positive Health and Safety culture
