The role of the Contracts Manager – Commercial Flooring will involve:
- Contracts Manager position overseeing various commercial flooring projects such as vinyl, laminate, wood, carpets and carpet tile
- Monitoring all site activity; organising all site workers, collating risk assessments and carrying out health and safety checks
- Organising the delivery of all materials that will be needed on site and ensuring they arrive on time
- Ensure projects are running smoothly and ensuring that project deadlines are adhered to, whilst maintaining project cost plans
- Liaising with clients and providing project reports
- Attending pre-contract meetings and progress meetings with clients
- Managing projects ranging in value from £250,000 to circa £2,000,000
The ideal applicant will be a Contracts Manager – Commercial Flooring with:
- Must be a Contracts Manager within the construction industry working for a subcontractor or main contractor
- Ideally will have sound technical knowledge of the flooring market sector vinyl, laminate, wood, carpets and carpet tile
- Dealt with project sizes £250,000+
- Ability to gain DBS / EL1 security checks
- Must have excellent communication skills across all levels both written and verbal
- Professional and highly organised
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
