Occupational Therapist (Adult Social Care)

Location: Suffolk (West, Ipswich, or North localities)

Working Pattern: Hybrid - 2-3 days office-based, 2 days WFH

Rate: 35 per hour (umbrella)

Contract: 6 months

Our Local Authority client are recruiting a number of locum Occupational Therapists across their 3 localities to support proactive reviews and assessments across the Directorate. This forms part of their preparation for the upcoming CQC assessment, supported by the CLT.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver safe and timely front-line OT services within the Adult Social Care Directorate
  • Support triage and streamline coordination between health and social care teams
  • Reduce waiting lists by addressing duplicated referrals and bottlenecks
  • Work with external care providers to ensure safe moving and handling practices
  • Review care packages to ensure value for money and effective use of equipment
  • Assess and review double-handed care packages.

Requirements:

  • HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Experience in adult social care and community-based OT assessments
