Occupational Therapist - Learning Disabilities and Autism Team

Full time locum contract

2-3 days office / 2 days remote

35p/h Umbrella

Countywide:

  • West: West Suffolk House, Bury St Edmunds
  • Ipswich: Endeavour House, Ipswich
  • North: Riverside, Lowestoft

We are recruiting an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our local authority client's Learning Disabilities and Autism Team across Suffolk.

Key responsibilities:

  • Providing safe and timely delivery of front-line occupational therapy services within the directorate.
  • Supporting with triage and reducing duplication between health and social care to reduce OT waiting lists.
  • Supporting external care providers to ensure correct and safe moving and handling tasks.
  • Completing reviews of care packages to ensure best value of services for ASC and best use of available equipment.
  • Reviewing double handed care packages.
  • Mutual aid to other OT areas as required.
  • Provide safe and timely delivery of OT assessments and reviews across the directorate.

Requirements:

  • Must have a Diploma/BSc in Occupational Therapy and must have current HCPC registration.
  • Learning disability / autism experience.
