Field Service Engineer Instrumentation / Electrical / Automation

Role + Responsibilities

We are currently recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to cover Central Scotland. The role requires servicing, commissioning, and fault diagnostics/repair of a range of electronic and mechanical process control instrumentation.

Main responsibilities

You will develop your electrical skills within our onsite training centre

You will be commissioning, calibrating, and repairing onsite measurement instrumentation equipment.

You will be working in all industries (Food & Beverage, Water, Oil & Gas, Power & Energy, Chemical, Life Science) within the Company customer database

You will be liaising with the Service Coordinators to ensure that all spares, tools and paperwork is available to enable them to carry out their duties

You will be adhering to site safety rules, permit to work systems and carry out risk assessments

You will be working to local and industry procedures and to comply with industry codes of practice and the Company quality management system

You will be providing services and support to other departments and customers as deemed appropriate by the Services Manager

Qualification + Profile

Ideally qualified to ONC/HNC level, preferably in Electronics or Instrumentation ofcontrol

Recognised apprenticeship in the above disciplines is ideal or a minimum of 2 years' Process Control experience

Problem solving and diagnostic skills

To be highly motivated and have the ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team

A flexible approach to working activities

Excellent communication and organisational skills

The ability to develop good working relationships with customers

Excellent punctuality and timekeeping

A clean driving licence.
