The position offers a training rate of £15.50 per hour, increasing to £17 per hour after training, with a standard 39-hour work week and a minimum of 5 hours of overtime at 1.5 times the regular rate.

CNC Machinist

A permanent vacancy has arisen within our clients Production Engineering Section for a CNC Machinist , please note the main base for this position is Falkirk.

Rate of pay (Training rate)-£15.50ph

Rate of pay (After training) - £17ph, 39 hours pw with minimum 5hrs OT at 1.5X.

Duties

Operate CNC machines, ensuring precision and adherence to specifications.
Load, set up, and program jobs using CNC software and technical drawings
Monitor machine performance and adjust for accuracy and tolerances
Conduct quality checks and basic maintenance on equipment
Collaborate with fabrication and welding teams to meet project timelines

Qualifications

2+ years of CNC operation experience in structural steel or heavy fabrication
Ability to read and interpret steel fabrication drawings and shop details
Ability to maintain and fix machines
Familiarity with beam line or plasma processing machinery
Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
